We love a relaxed Christmas morning in our home. This year, it was especially so! After a late Christmas evening with friends, Elijah was worn out and slept until almost 8:30am! The rest of the kids were very patient and let him sleep, even though I knew they were anxious to open presents. It was nice too, because the extra time in the morning gave me a chance to get our Christmas brunch into the oven.

In the afternoon, two families joined us for a very non-traditional hamburger dinner! We had burgers, fries, potato and jello salad, with tons of Christmas goodies for dessert. Considering that December is summer in the southern hemisphere, a grilled dinner sort of fits! We enjoyed the afternoon of hanging out with friends, chatting and game-playing, while our combined 9 kids ran around, playing both indoors and out.
