Photojournal of our Village Stay

Here's our village stay in a nutshell:  Seven weeks of life in the village

E with his fangs.  Unfortunately, they didn't last long because he got 3 more teeth during our stay: the 2 top middle ones, and one more on the bottom

We had 3 family birthdays while in the village.  Matt's 38th.  I'll add pictures from the boy's birthdays to their blog posts
On a couple of different Saturdays we went on a family hike.  This one is to the Karame river.

Our family is hilarious crossing these bamboo bridges.  The kids are terrified and crawl across on hands and knees.  I slowly shuffle across, and hope that E won't throw himself to the side to look at something, and upset my balance.
We made it!

The kids discovered that the very slippery moss-covered rock made for a great slide.  They took turns sliding into the small, calm pool.  The rest of the river was too deep and fast-moving for safe swimming.

Crossing the Karame

These kids are never happier than when they're playing in the mud and rain.  Sigh.
