Grateful

Yesterday morning the doorbell rang.  I went to answer it and found the two girls who regularly babysit for us, standing there.  They presented me with some hand-made cards for the kids with invitations to do some special events with them next week.  School gets out on Tuesday, and these thoughtful young ladies got together and came up with some fun ways to spend extra time with my kids, doing something special.

Our 5 weeks of school break start next week.  While it is nice to have the break from the business of the school schedule, it does get rather loooooong as there really aren't places to go, or much to do.

And how awesome is it that these girls willingly come and offer to spend more time with my kids!  One of them is actually one of Julianne's Sunday School teachers as well.  I love that my kids get the chance to spend time with these responsible girls, who are fun to be with and great role models.

  1. Jealous! So miss the babysitters of UKA. Which fun things did your kids pick?

    1. Well, I must admit that all three options are just too fun, so they keep changing their minds! As of this moment though, the boys want to decorate cookies and the girls want to watch a movie. =)
